«Boundaries of Law in the Digital Age: Public, Private, Digital.»

The International Cyber ​​Legal Forum is intended to become a platform for dialogue between lawyers, technology developers, business and government representatives, scientists and practitioners to discuss current issues of legal regulation in the digital age, the transformation of law under the influence of technology and digital innovations.


In 2024, the main topic of the forum will be legal boundaries in the public, private and digital spheres, so its participants will have the opportunity to discuss the framework of legal institutions and, in general, the boundaries of law in the digital age. Which boundaries need to be preserved, which ones should be removed, and which ones should not be allowed to appear.


AGENDA

It is proposed to distribute the discussion of current issues of transformation of law under the influence of technology across three tracks:

Track 1: Public Boundaries: Navigating the Digital Landscape
  • New Subjects and Objects of Law in the Digital Space: Legal status, legal regime, and regulatory approaches for entities and objects emerging in the digital environment.
  • Liability for Algorithms: Legal aspects of regulating and assigning responsibility for decisions made by artificial intelligence.
  • Cybercrime, Digital Footprints, and Digital Evidence: Legal aspects of prevention, investigation, proof, and punishment of cybercrimes and the handling of digital evidence.
  • Digital Justice: Opportunities, risks, and fundamental changes in judicial processes influenced by technology.

Track 2: Private Boundaries: Rethinking Privacy in the Digital Age

  • Fundamental Principles of Internet Privacy: Principles and regulatory approaches for protecting privacy online.
  • Personal Data and Artificial Intelligence: Legal frameworks for the creation and use of AI technologies.
  • Privacy Engineering: How to uphold human rights using modern technologies.
  • Organizing Personal Data Processing: Establishing mechanisms to ensure the rights of data subjects are respected during processing.

Track 3: Digital Boundaries: Technology, Infrastructure, Regulation in the Context of Global Digital Transformation (within KIGF)

  • Innovation, Investment, Communication: Strategies for expanding digital infrastructure and Internet access.
  • Digital Outpost: Ensuring security in an era of global threats.
  • The Future of Legal Regulation: Balancing innovation, security, and rights in the digital environment.
