As of today, the Digital Code of the Kyrgyz Republic has come into effect — a comprehensive regulatory legal act governing relations in the digital environment.
The Digital Code establishes a unified legal framework for the regulation of digital technologies, digital services, and data; enshrines the digital rights of citizens; and forms the legal basis for the development of electronic public services and the national digital ecosystem.
The introduction of the Digital Code is aimed at ensuring legal certainty, increasing transparency and trust in digital solutions, and creating conditions for the sustainable digital transformation of the state, the economy, and society.
